I always thought the Minnesota North Stars had one of the better names in hockey, and their uniforms were pretty sweet as well. But all good things must come to an end like what happened here when the franchise headed south on I-35 to their new home in Dallas. After the move the team simply dropped the word 'North' from the name to simply become the Dallas Stars. Why they didn't go with Lone Stars, the obvious choice, is beyond me.
