Chicago Bulls

In 1966 new team owner Richard Klein was doing what any new owner would - trying to think of a name for his new toy. He was determined to have a name that reflected Chicago's status as meat capital of the globe. Some ideas he had were Toreadors and Matadors.

When he was attempting to get feedback from his family about these monikers his young son called him out and blurted "Dad, that's a bunch of bull!" Klein apparently liked what he heard and named his team the Chicago Bulls.
